West Virginia University (WVU) is a research university in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA. These include West Virginia Tech’s Montgomery Institute and Potomac College of West Virginia University in Keyser, as well as the university’s medical and dental services at Charleston Center. The university provides counseling and outreach services with offices in each of West Virginia’s 55 counties. The number of students enrolled in the university reached about 29,466 in the fall of the 2013 semester on the main campus of the university, while the enrollment rates in all universities reached 32,348. WVU offers multiple programs for 200 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, in 15 colleges.

The Eberly College of Arts was established for formal science in 1895. It is home to many academic disciplines including: social and behavioral sciences, arts and humanities, as well as mathematics and natural resources. Campus
The Morgantown campus includes three affiliated universities. The original main campus, commonly called the Midtown Campus, is in the Monongahela River Valley on the outskirts of Morgantown. This part of the campus is home to eight of the academic buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The campus houses many architectural styles including Victorian Second Empire, Federal, Neoclassical, Collegiate and Gothic among others. The Health Sciences Campus is located near Mountaineer Square, up a ridge from the Evansdale campus.
Libraries
The university maintains four campus libraries. These include the central-campus library, the Evansdale Library, the Health Sciences Library, and the Law Library. West Virginia University Libraries contain approximately 1.5 million printed volumes, 2.3 million microfilms, more than 10,000 electronic journals, and computers with high-speed Internet access.
In addition, the West Virginia Regional History Center is the world’s largest collection of research material related to West Virginia University which includes and compiles more than 4,500,000 manuscript documents, 30,000 books, 15,000 handbooks and 1 200 newspapers, 100,000 photographs, 5,000 maps, 25,000 microfilms, films and popular music recordings. The university participates in publishing the Journal of Work Studies with the United Society for Work Education.

The visitor center is located on the waterfront of Morgantown and there is the WVU Center, which showcases the latest in traditional West Virginia hospitality. and the university for guided tours Monday through Saturday.
