It is a concept that has deep and extended roots from expert systems as one of its fields to what it has reached now, as well as as a result of the continuous development of technological techniques that differ from one era to another.

Samia Qammoura (pp. 5, 6) defines artificial intelligence ([1]): it is the scientific and technical current that includes methods, theories, and techniques that aim to create machines capable of simulating intelligence; Also, artificial intelligence consists of two basic concepts:

*. Memory: It performs the storage process and is a form of intelligence called negative intelligence.

*. Inference: It means the ability to analyze and comprehend the relationship between things and concepts in order to understand the facts, and this can only be done through the use of memory, logic and other means derived from mathematical sciences.

Artificial intelligence is also known as: “a branch of computer science; Through it, computer programs can be developed that suit and simulate the method of human intelligence, and they can be designed so that the computer can perform some tasks instead of the human.” (Lina Al-Farani, Samar Al-Hujaili, p. 76)

It is also known as: the process of simulating human intelligence through computer systems, and it is done by studying human behavior by conducting experiments on their behavior and putting them in certain situations and observing their reaction, thinking pattern, and dealing with these situations; And then trying to simulate the human way of thinking through complex computer systems. *. Artificial intelligence works in light of the information and data provided by humans.

*. Artificial intelligence needs what is known as Bigdata to provide an appropriate amount of information that allows more alternatives and options to make the appropriate decision.

The importance of artificial intelligence in education:

By analyzing many studies and literature, it can be said that the importance of artificial intelligence lies in the following points:

*. Diagnosis of educational cases to achieve an appropriate educational level for students.

*. Playing the role of the teacher and giving advice related to the educational situation.

*. Making decisions that suit the learner according to the nature of the activity required of him within the educational situation.

*. Auto-correction of tests, which saves the teacher’s time to benefit from it in other educational tasks.

*. Continuous evaluation of learners by tracking their learning paths in real time and accurately judging their skill acquisition over time.

*. Increase interaction between students and educational content, as is the case in the Chatbot service, which can recognize the language of students and have a real conversation with them.

*. Collecting, storing, analyzing, securing and maintaining data for use in developing other programs.

*. Providing learning systems suitable for students with special needs.
