How to enter ? admissions
The first thing you have to know is that you need to meet a series of requirements to complete your application, which can be summarized as:
  • Application Request Form (Common App). It has a non-refundable cost of $80USD.
  • Grade point average (GPA) of 3.5/4 (US scale) or the equivalent, according to the country where you are.
  • Translations of grades from the last five (5) years of school, and diploma or bachelor’s degree.
  • English Proficiency Exam (TOEFL exam minimum 100/120, you can also take IELTS exam minimum 7.5/9), you are exempt from these exams if you present a high school diploma from the United States.
  • NYU does not accept the following English tests: IELTS Indicator, TOEFL Essentials, or the PTE Academic Online.
  • SAT or ACT test (minimum SAT 1350/1600, ACT 29 or higher), or International Baccalaureate Diploma.
NOTE: you can present only your international baccalaureate diploma, if your intention is only to win an admission letter, but if you want to apply for a scholarship
YES you will MANDATORY need to take an SAT or ACT test.
  • Audition or Portfolio of works. Only for applicants to the School of Arts.
  • Color photocopy of your passport, where the photo and personal data are completely legible.
  • Bank certificate, proving that you can afford academic and personal expenses, for at least one (1) year.
