Recent Previous Studies in Adaptive Learning 2023

Given the importance of adaptive learning and modern adaptive learning environments, which is one of the most prominent e-learning environments, we present in the following article a set of recent previous studies that can benefit researchers as follows:

1- Study (Ikram Farouk Wahba, 2023)

The research aimed to determine the effect of the interaction between two styles of displaying adaptive content (conditional/flexible) and learning style (active/reflective) in the adaptive e-learning environment in developing the collection of cloud computing concepts and their applications in educational information facilities, and creative thinking among students of education technology, and depended on the curriculum. The experimental study to study the relationship between its variables, and the research tools were represented in the ILS Index of Learning Styles scale, which was used to determine students’ learning style (active / reflective), (Felder-Silverman preparation, an achievement test, and the creative thinking scale. The research found several results, including the absence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the four experimental groups in the post-measurement of the achievement test, and the creative thinking scale, i.e. there is no preference Either of the two learning styles (active/reflective) over the other, and there is no preference for any of the adaptive content display style (conditional/flexible) over the other.

2- A study (May Saad bin Shilwan, 2021) [2]

This study aimed to know the attitudes of the students of the Saudi Electronic University in the city of Riyadh towards adaptive learning. The sample size was 326 male and female undergraduate students, and their ages ranged between 18-35 years. The descriptive survey method was used to achieve the objectives of the study and to answer its questions using a designed questionnaire. The results showed that there are positive attitudes of the students of the Saudi Electronic University towards the (Education First EF) system, which is used to teach the English language course for the preparatory year. The recommendations indicated an increase in technical support to solve the problems of malfunctions of the adaptive learning system, and the provision of training courses for students through which the method of using the system is explained and trained. on new updates.

3- Study (Rania Abdullah Abdel Moneim, 2021)

Modern teaching strategies have recently shifted from an approach that focuses on transferring knowledge from expert to learner, to a learner-centered approach, as learners have different needs, and these differences must be taken into account in digital learning environments, and therefore adaptive digital learning environments have become One of the most important learning environments that seeks to improve the learning process for each learner in order to achieve the desired goals. Therefore, the aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of a digital environment based on adaptive learning in developing deep understanding skills among female students of the Faculty of Education at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza. The experimental study, and the deep understanding test was used as a main tool for the research. The research was applied to a sample of (96) female students It was divided into two groups, experimental and control, which included the first (51) female students, and the second (45) female students from the College of Education for the course of teaching techniques, who were chosen in an intentional manner. The results of the research indicated the effectiveness of digital learning environments based on adaptive learning in developing deep understanding skills. For female students of the Faculty of Education at Al-Aqsa University, in the light of the research results, the researcher recommends the necessity of activating digital learning environments in all its forms, and focusing on adaptive learning that is commensurate with the students’ individual differences.

4- Study (Hamad bin Ayed Ayesh Al-Rashidi, 2021)

The research aimed to identify the impact of displaying the adaptive content in electronic learning environments on the development of achievement and satisfaction with the learning environment for students of the course of educational techniques according to the method of superficial and deep learning. The researcher used the experimental design through the application of Abdul Latif’s scale for learning styles, and divided the students into a first experimental group (the pattern of including parts of information with in-depth students), and a second experimental group (the pattern of removing parts of information with superficial students) and then applied the achievement test beforehand on them, followed by the application The post achievement test and the satisfaction scale. The sample included (38) students from the College of Education at the University of Hail. The results of the research revealed that there is no statistically significant difference at the level (≤ 0.05) between the mean scores.

Students in the post-application of the achievement test and the degree of mastery for the pattern of including parts of information, and the same result was between the mean scores of students in the post-application of the achievement test and the degree of mastery for the pattern of removing parts of information, as well as between the average scores in the achievement test in each of the two patterns of including parts of information and removing parts The same result was recorded between the mean scores of students in the post application of the satisfaction scale and the degree of mastery of the pattern of displaying parts of information, and the same result was recorded between the average scores of students in the post application of the satisfaction scale and the degree of mastery of the total score of the pattern of removing parts of information.

5- Study (Amal Bint Ali Bin Saad Al-Mozan, 2021)

This study aimed to identify the training needs of school principals and their assistants in Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of change management. In order to achieve the goal, a questionnaire consisting of 55 items was built, divided into 5 main areas, and after verifying its validity and reliability, it was applied to 65 managers and assistants. Among the most prominent findings of the study is the existence of a training need for school principals and their assistants in the light of change management to a large extent, the absence of statistically significant differences in the assessment of school principals and their assistants for training needs In the light of change management at the level of significance α = 0.05 due to the variables of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience, and in the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended focusing on the training needs that occupied more priorities than others when designing training programs for school principals and their assistants and meeting the needs revealed by the study .

6- Study (Rabee Abdel-Azim Ramoud, 2021)

The research aimed to identify the digital transformation and adaptive e-learning. The research began by talking about learning environments that went through many stages of development, starting from the traditional one that relies on the teacher and the student with simple tools, then moved to a development in the components of the environment using some assistive technology means, then integrating technology into the educational and learning process within the digital transformation in virtual learning environments and learning environments. Adaptive learning. The research included eight axes, the first axis dealt with the concept of digital transformation. The second axis presented the benefits of digital transformation in education. The third axis discussed the principles of digital transformation. The fourth axis referred to the steps of digital transformation. The fifth axis explained the obstacles that prompted digital transformation in the field of education. The sixth axis touched on adaptive e-learning. The seventh axis revealed the advantages of adaptive e-learning. The eighth axis referred to building adaptive e-learning systems and included adaptive content design, adaptive presentation, and adaptive navigation.

7- Study (Ramadan Ahmad Ramadan Qamiqim, 2021)
